April is almost over and we are almost finished our 4th week of home learning and our teachers have been working hard to find activities that are motivating, inspiring and relevant to your child. Your communication with them continues to provide us with an opportunity to support you and the students.
The reality tells us that we are all dealing with little personalities and conditions that don't allow us to do everything that we would like to do. I hear stories from your homes and I marvel at your accomplishments at this difficult time, I don't know how some of you do it! I'm not just referring to the work the teachers are posting.
Your children are involved in unique, personalized learning opportunities right at home, in your kitchens, living rooms, and outdoors spaces. I mentioned right from the beginning that this is a unique opportunity for kids to learn beyond the academic outcomes. Please don't feel that you are not doing what you are supposed to be doing when motivation becomes an issue. Anytime the kids are spending time and having conversations with loved ones, they are learning. Embrace it, adjust the sails and breathe!
Take care,
Love Mrs. Lee
