Hello Grade 2/3,

Today is May 7, 2020. It is a Thursday. Could you believe the snow earlier this week? When Henry looked out the window he said, “Wow! Summer was short, Mommy!” I definitely hope it is a bit longer (haha). This weekend is Mother’s Day. I like to think of it as a day to say thank you to any women in your life who are special to you. Some of the activities you could do for this special person is make a card, write an acrostic poem using the person’s name, or write a note telling them why they are special to you. Don’t forget to draw something too! Since you may not be able to see this person you could FaceTime, Skype or call them over the phone and read and/or show them what you wrote. I am sure it will brighten their day as well as yours!
