You can tell we’re back

when you hear us sing. 

We build our nests

as soon as it’s spring.

For now we’re buds

but soon we’ll be open.

We’ll soak up some water-

At least that’s what we’re hoping.

We cannot fly all by ourselves.

We need some windy weather.

You just hold us by our long, white strings.

We swoop and soar together.
